"The primary objective of the audit was to assess the accessibility of Save the Children Nepal's digital channels and identify areas requiring improvement to enhance user accessibility. The audit encompassed multiple platforms including the public-facing website, internal intranet, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn)."
Project Overview
Save the Children Nepal engaged services to conduct a comprehensive digital accessibility audit of their communication channels to evaluate and improve the accessibility of their digital systems. The audit covered multiple digital platforms including the public-facing website, internal intranet, and social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
The project was completed over a one-month period using a combination of automated and manual testing methodologies. The team received a set of items to be audited from Save the Children Nepal and proceeded with a systematic evaluation approach. Automated audit tools were deployed to assess the websites and intranet accessibility, while human testers conducted manual evaluations of documents and social media platforms.
Findings from both automated testing and manual testing were triangulated to ensure comprehensive coverage and accuracy. The team compiled these findings into a detailed report that included specific remediation recommendations to help Save the Children Nepal improve the accessibility of their digital channels. The project resulted in actionable insights and ready-to-use resources to support ongoing accessibility improvements.
